In a time when environmental protection is high on the agenda, most workplaces have protection policies in place and the demand for Environmental aware staff and Managers is increasing. Attend this course to learn about the practical issues involved in the management of environmental risk, and gain a nationally recognised qualification.Is this the right course for me?
The course is particularly suitable for those with an interest in the environment who have supervisory experience and are seeking a Health and Safety related role. It will suit managers, supervisors and staff who need a broad understanding of Health and Safety issues. NEBOSH qualifications are increasingly essential for those looking for employment in the Health and Safety sector but they also apply to other roles such as Facilities Management .
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
The course lasts for 5 days on site at a CTP centre. All CTP courses follow NEBOSH guidelines on tuition time and students are expected to undertake significant private study.
The programme of study is based on 34 taught hours and approximately 25 hours of private study for an overall total of 59 hours.
Quoted hours do not include assessment time, ie, sitting examinations or the practical application unit.
Assessment
EMC1: 24-hour open book examination (OBE) – learners will be required to review a real-life scenario and answer a number of theoretical and practical questions on environmental management.

EMC2: practical assessment – learners will be asked to assess environmental aspects and impacts present in their chosen workplace
Qualifications
NEBOSH Environmental Management CertificateEligibility
The course is open to all Service personnel. No previous environmental management knowledge is required but candidates should be literate and numerate to at least level 2.The NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is recommended but not a mandatory pre-requisite for this course.
