If you have experience working within military logistics and are planning to work as a junior manager or supervisor within the logistics industry after discharge then this is the course for you. Whilst there are no pre-requisites for Service leavers wishing to attend this course, candidates should be numerate and literate to at least level 2 (GCSE Maths & English at A-C) in order to be able to cope with the demands of the assessment and examination criteria.Qualifications
This course offers 2 stand alone qualifications and will receive two separate certificates.
Level 3 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace – Highfield no longer offer hard copy Certificates. You will be sent an electronic certificate on successful completion of this module.
CILT(UK) Level 3 Award in Warehousing – Course Work is moderated by CILT 6 times a year in June, August, October, December, February and April. Successful candidates will be sent their Certificates within 10 weeks of submitting work.

This 10 day classroom based course covers 2 separate qualifications:
Level 3 CILT Award in Warehousing
- Managing Warehouse Receiving and Storing Operations.
- Managing Order Picking and Despatching Goods.
- Managing the Provision and Care of Warehouse Resources.
Assessment: Assignment
Highfield Level 3 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace - This part of the course will be assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
- Introduction to health and safety.
- Legislation.
- Accidents in the workplace.
- Ill health in the workplace.
- Health and safety organisation and Management.
- The role of supervisors.
Assessment: Multiple choice examination
The classroom based learning supplemented by directed study and background preparatory reading during the course. You will be expected to work during the evenings, as written assignments will need to be prepared. Your experienced and qualified trainer will help you through every step of these industry recognised qualifications.

The Logistics industry remains a growth area and is expected to be so for the foreseeable future. There are many employment opportunities for warehouse and/or distribution supervisors and team leaders throughout the UK.
